(Concord, NH) - For the 54 hunters taking part in the 2017 NH Moose Hunt, it's their last chance to bring home the big trophy.

The weather may have played a factor in the low number of moose taken so far this year.

Last weekend's higher-than-normal temperatures apparently kept the moose bedded down, resulting in only 10 moose taken, a 19-per-cent success rate.

Since then, the warm weather and rain have combined to keep the moose, and hunters, bedded down. As of Friday morning, only 28 moose have been bagged, a 52-per-cent success rate.

The 9-day hunt runs until Sunday at sundown.
