(Newington, NH) - Eight airmen from the NH National Guard will deploy to the Virgin Islands to support the relief efforts after Hurricane Irma devastated the Caribbean Islands.Seven members of 157th Civil Engineers Squadron and one from the 260th Air Traffic Control Squadron will bring a Disaster Relief Bed Down Set (DRBS), which has been stationed at the Pease Air National Guard Base.

The DRBS can accommodate up to 150 people, providing billeting, power production, laundry services and water distribution and purification services for responding personnel.

The units are pre-positioned throughout the U.S. for disaster response.
