A proposed bill that goes to a vote today could pave the way for those serving time behind bars to vote in the state of New Hampshire. 

Convicted felons behind bars in New Hampshire could get the right to vote under a proposal that is heading for a full vote by the House.

Currently, convicted felons in New Hampshire are eligible to vote once released.

Vermont and Maine are the only two states where felons never lose their right to vote. That's according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
