rankings of all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The states were ranked based on a number of factors, including the share of residents who are 65 and older,  average household income and poverty rates for those 65 and older, home values and crime rates.

Just over 14 per cent of New Hampshire residents are 65 or older.

Delaware is the number 1 state on the retirement list, followed by Florida.

Vermont ranked 20th and Maine was number 22 on the list. Massachusetts was 38th.
