The Thanksgiving Holiday commute is looking grim as a nor’easter makes its way to New England.

A mix of rain and heavy snow is expected to bring a forecasted  6-12 inches to most of New Hampshire and Massachusetts, according to Accuweather.

The worst time to travel in New England will be on Wednesday afternoon and into the night, according to AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams. He recommends commuters find a way to get on the road the day before the storm hits.

The snowstorm is expected to cause flight delays and other travel issues when it hits on Wednesday and into Thursday. Wet and slushy area on the road can easily become icy Thursday night.
