An attorney representing the family of Hagen Esty-Lennon filed paperwork Wednesday to block the planned release of the body camera video that showed Esty-Lennon charge at two Haverhill Police officers who has responded to the scene of a reported accident on July 6th.

Still photos from the video show Esty-Lennon was armed with a knife and had a self-inflicted stab wound to his chest. He refused repeated orders by the officers to drop the weapon, and charged at them before they opened fire, hitting him multiple times.

The full video was to be released under the states Right To Know law.
The release is now pending  the court resolution of the issue.
