Officials Identify Canterbury Crash Victim

(Canterbury, NH) - New Hampshire State Police have identified the man killed in a fiery crash in Canterbury Monday night.Authorities used dental records to identify 21 year old William Ainsworth of Concord as the driver of the car that went off Shaker Road, struck a tree and went down an embankment before bursting into flames.

Ainsworth was trapped in the burning vehicle and efforts to free him were unsuccessful.

A passenger in the car, 21 year old Marty Barrett, escaped with minor injuries.

The accident is still under investigation, but police had earlier said that speed was believed to be the cause.
