(Hudson) - New Hampshire based Fred Fuller Oil Company will reimburse the state for costs associated with heating oil delivery problems for customers.

The state ran an emergency hotline to coordinate efforts to help customers who feared they would run short on oil. Owner Fred Fuller wrote to the Director of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Perry Plummer. In it, he stated that the company will pay back the requested funds to the state, amounting to some $21 thousand dollars. At the same time, a fund with the same amount of cash will be used to help those customers who were inconvenienced by the delivery delays. The company maintains that it is not required to reimburse the state, but considers it the responsible thing to do.
