One Dead, One Injured In Fiery Crash In Henniker

(Henniker, NH) - A Henniker man was killed Monday afternoon after his pickup truck collided with another vehicle on Route 202/9 in Henniker.

State Police say 52 year old Todd Goss was traveling in the westbound breakdown lane at a high rate of speed and attempted to merge into the travel lane, clipping the back of another vehicle. Goss' truck left the roadway, rolled over several times and struck some trees before bursting into flames.

Firefighters extinguished the flames and found Goss dead in the vehicle.

The second car was operated by 46 year old John Auprey of Penacook. He suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock medical center in Hanover.

Route 202/9 was closed from the time of the accident at 2:30 until 8:30 Monday night.

State Police continue to investigate the mishap.
