Firefighters responded to a 9-1-1 call just after 11:30 Tuesday night and found heavy fire and smoke pouring from the home at 15 Indigo Hill  Road. They were told one person was trapped on the second floor.

Mutual aid calls brought in fire-fighters from Dover, Rochester, Rollinsford, Durham, Berwick and South Berwick.

Once crews were able to enter the building, they located the victim in a second floor bedroom. Her name has not been released.

Two other occupants of the home had escaped the flames and were treated at the hospital for burns and smoke inhalation.

The home, owned by Robert Bergy, suffered about $100-thousand in damage from the blaze.
