Someday when you tell your kids that people used to rent videos in stores they'll look at you like you're crazy because its something that's almost completely gone.

In Keene, one of the last few video rental stores is closing its doors for good. Video Headquarters opened in 1983 and will go out of business in July. The store currently has over 40 thousand items in stock.Ken McAleer is the owner of Video Headquarters and was interviewed on NHPR.

With the advent of services like Netflix and Hulu, video rental stores disappeared from the retails landscape. Business Insider traced how Netflix grew to be the world's largest video subscription service in 2011 and at one point Blockbuster Video had the opportunity to purchase Netflix but declined.
