Phony Justice of the Peace Charged in Hampton

( Hampton, N.H. ) - A Hampton man could face prison time for acting as a fake justice of the peace at weddings and tampering with a witness.

Police say 55 year old Scott Baldwin officiated the wedding of one of his relatives last year as well as at least one other wedding, despite never being a justice of the peace.  Baldwin also attempted to stop his relative, from speaking to authorities.
