Plaistow’s Beloved “Larry’s Clam Bar” is Up For Sale

$1.2 Million can get you Larry's Clam Bar in Plaistow

I grew up in the Plaistow area.  So to read the news that part of my childhood was up for sale was a bit shocking.

Larry's Clam Bar, a seasonal seafood restaurant that has been part of the Rt. 125 landscape since 1961, has yet to open.  Today it was revealed that the property is now on the market.

Larry's last Facebook post (dated back to last November) thanks customers for their business and said that they were closed for the season.

In the comment field below, several Facebook fans asked when they would be re-opening for 2016.  Someone shared a link from Masiello Realty indicating the property is on the market.

If it is true and Larry's is actually going away, this is just another sign of my childhood going away.

On a side note- I played on the Larry's Clam Bar-sponsored Little League Team in Atkinson in 1995.
