New Hampshire state biologists say feeding deer the wrong type of food or at the wrong time can cause the animals serious harm, including painful sickness or even death.

Winter is well underway in New Hampshire and with the recent snowstorms, experts in the state are asking people to not feed deer.

An article from WMUR says you may start to see more deer roaming around and even though they may look hungry, they are in fact fine. Deer have a very insulated coat that keeps them warm. They store large amounts of body fat to use as reserves to naturally conserve energy in winter and migrate to better areas.
