One Portsmouth barber has been making his clients look good for years, but now he wants to bring something new to the rest of their style.

Master barber Patrick Lavoie Jr.Brass, owner of Ports City Barber in Portsmouth, is looking to expand his line of clothing called Brass Knuckle Scrappers Wicked Tough Apparel.

The clothing line includes classic black and white t-shirts, hoodies and hats that are built with an active lifestyle in mind. The clothes are branded as "Wicked Tough" and made for New Englanders who work hard and play hard.

My vision is to develop a successful line of  fun, multi-functional, long-lasting,durable clothing for work and play, for men, women and kids.A clothing line that reflects the New England Lifestyle.

Lavoie has been developing and testing this clothing line idea for the past two years after he created hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts for a scrap metal business. Now he is looking to launch the business idea into the next phase with Kickstarter.

So far, his Kickstarter campaign has received $742 towards the $25,000 goal. The money would go towards displays, hangers, racks, shelving, body molds, signage, tables, event tents and a trailer for storage and transport. It would also support other necessary business needs and marketing efforts.

Lavoie is determined to see his new business venture succeed and focus on giving his fellow New Englanders the rugged style they need.

This brand reflects my life and my lifestyle. I am hard working, independent, determined, and adaptable. I have always done whatever it takes.
