I've lamented how poutine is criminally underappreciated in the United States. Fortunately, we in New Hampshire know what's up with this dish.

For those unaware, poutine is French-Canadian dish featuring french fries, gravy and cheese curds. The ingredients alone should compel you to attend NH Poutinefest on June 25th at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.

Presented by the Franco-American Centre, The fest will pit restaurants against one another as they vie for the Ceinture de Championnat (Championship Belt for you English only speakers). Tickets go on sale May 1st, so you may do well to follow the festival on Facebook so you don't forget about it between now and then.

Maybe that Craigslist Missed Connection over cheese fries will lead to more romance over a plate of poutine!
