(Portland, Maine)- Power outages continue to plague residents in Maine. More than 100,000 customers of the state's major utilities are still without power and it could be Friday before it is restored. Central Maine Power reported  87,000 outages as of 10 a.m.  while Bangor Hydro electric had more than 28,000. The worst hit areas are in Kennebec and Waldo Counties. The Red Cross opened a third shelter this morning in Brewer. Shelters were opened in Belfast and Calais last night.
