Over 25 protesters were arrested for blocking I-93 in protest of police brutality.

This morning 29 protesters were arrested in Medford and Milton, MA. It was reported that they were blocking traffic on I-93 in protest of police brutality towards black citizens.

The protesters were in the street with their arms chained to 1,200 pound cement-filled metal barrels. Officials had to use chainsaws and bandsaws to cut through these barrels, according to NECN.

According to Business Insider, the protest organizer, Katie Seitz, had this to say:

“Our nonviolent direct action is meant to expose the reality that Boston is a city where white commuters and students use the city and leave, while black and brown communities are targeted by police, exploited, and displaced"
