Let It Shine, the organizers behind the Keene Pumpkin Festival, will be announcing on Friday where they are taking their organizational know-how next. Will it be Nashua? Laconia? Or somewhere else?

According to the Union Leader, one town that is pushing hard for the event is Claremont. The NH/Vermont border town has scheduled a pumpkin festival for October 17th; it remains to be seen whether or not it is the pumpkin festival.

Meanwhile, Patch.com is reporting that Nashua appears to have dropped out of the running and that the leading candidate to host the festival is Laconia.  Other towns reportedly still interested in the event include Exeter, Franklin, Hampton Beach, Loudon, Peterborough, Portsmouth, Litchfield, Rindge and Swanzey.

When Friday comes around, speculation will finally give way to planning the event! We'll be sure to have the latest at WOKQ.com.
