While Old Man Winter continues to keep us in his grasp, down in sunny Florida, Red Sox Spring Training is wrapping up. With Opening Day less than a week away, a lot of reports have the team shaping up to be a World Series contender once again, plenty of questions still remain.

Can the Sox fill the void left by Big Papi? Will the King Fu Panda be able to bounce back after two miserable season? What's really wrong with David Price's arm?

I always try to be optimistic. After all, we have lots to be thrilled with on this team. The pitching staff is led by Cy Young winner Rick Porcello. President of Baseball Operations, Dave Dombrowski went out and got maybe the best pitcher in baseball, Chris Sale, in the off season. And you toss in Xander Bogaerts, Mookie Betts, and the veteran presence of Dustin Pedroia...and you've got a pretty good team. Even Hanley Ramirez and his sore shoulder don't cause me too much anxiety.

Can we win the AL East again? I think so. Will the Red Sox win the World Series? I don't know...but hope springs eternal this time of the year.
