Relay for Life – Honors Cancer Survivors and Victims

(Hampton) - Seacoast region Relay for Life volunteers are participating in a 24-hour yearly event.

Relay for Life events are taking place this weekend all over the globe.  Highlighting one such event, the Seacoast Area Relay teams are spending the weekend at Winnacunnet High School in Hampton.  They are celebrating the 14 million cancer survivors who are marking another birthday, and memorializing those who didn't, with luminaries, candles in bags, lit overnight.  Each team must have one member on the track at all times during the event.  The Piscataqua Savings Bank based in Portsmouth, has been a consistent participant over the years, walking, and raising money for cancer research.
