Every spring, Nashville introduces its latest group of new singers and bands in the hopes they will be the next big thing. With that in mind I thought it would be cool to take a look at three up and coming acts that I think will break out this year.

1. Eric Paslay

Eric Paslay has had hits with "Friday Night" and "Song About A Girl" but he's not quite yet a household name. I think people know and love his songs but they don't know his as a star.

Eric's got a new song called "She Don't Love You" which Rolling Stone has already named one of the best country songs of the year.

2. Mo Pitney

For those of you who aren't fans of the "bro country" sound,  Mo Pitney will be a refreshing change for you. Mo has a traditional country sound, something insiders say will be making a resurgence soon.

If so, Mo is in the right place at the right time. Mo sang "Clean Up On Aisle Five" during a visit to Studio Big last month.

3. A Thousand Horses

A Thousand Horses is the latest band to champion the southern rock sound.  Where Blackberry Smoke and The Cadillac Three met only with moderate chart success, these guys may be the ones to secure the southern rock image.

Their debut single "Smoke" is in the top 20 and climbing. Listen for all of these singers and songs on New Country 97.5 WOKQ as their careers take off.
