The city of Rochester has canceled the fireworks display that was set to take place this July, after a two-year hiatus.
The display was supposed to take place at the Rochester Fairgrounds on Monday, July 3rd, but has been axed by city officials.

An article by Kyle Stucker from Fosters reports recent developments with the Rochester Fair forced city officials to pull the fireworks show.

According to Fosters:
'City Manager Dan Fitzpatrick said Tuesday he and other city staff “don’t feel comfortable” the fireworks could be pulled off in an efficient and effective way due to developments since the Rochester Fair’s board announced on May 5 that there would be no fair this fall.'
