Rochester Man Charged With Robbery

(Rochester, NH) - A Rochester man was arrested Tuesday after a morning robbery at George and Ed's General Store on North Main Street.

A clerk said a male subject entered the store around 9:45 and purchased an item. When the female clerk opened the cash register, the subject reached in and grabbed the drawer and money inside. He said he was armed, but no weapon was shown and there were no injuries.

The subject fled the store and rode away on a mountain bike.

Rochester police were able to track the suspect to an vacant apartment on Moores Court where they found 39 year old Michael Richardson hiding. He is charged with Felony Armed Robbery and is being held in the Strafford County Jail.
