Running Into a Rising Country Star at Subway in Dover [VIDEO]

Wednesday afternoon was another fun one in Studio Big. I was looking forward to a visit from Curb Records Nashville artist Mo Pitney but needed to grab lunch before he arrived. Imagine my surprise when I went to Subway and Mo was waiting in line right before me.

Mo is out visiting radio stations in the Northeast and was getting lunch for himself before visiting WOKQ. We had a good laugh and came back to the station. Mo bucks the current bro-country trend and has deep traditional roots. He wrote his current single "Country" with the legendary Bill Anderson. He tugged on the heartstrings of some members of our small group with some very powerful lyrics in his music.

Mo has appeared on Taste of Country Nights with Sam Alex. We thank him for performing a bunch of great songs including "Country" for the WOKQ staff.
