Valerie Lovell, who nominated Kevin, had this to say about him:

My friend and former boss Kevin Maes should be recognized for all he has done for the state of New Hampshire. He has worked in the education system for over 30-plus years, educating some of the state's toughest students, (Emotionally handicapped), along
with working as a police officer for the town of
Rumney, New Hampshire.

Although Kevin is now retired from the educational field, he continues to work helping to make this state an incredible place to live and work as a state representative. Kevin taught me so much about special education during my time working for him. He strives to make New Hampshire a wonderful place to live and work all the while keeping everyone around him smiling.
He is a bundle of knowledge and is always looking to share that knowledge with anyone willing to listen. Although I no longer work beside him, I continue to follow his career and am truly honored to call him a friend. I would love for him to be honored for all his dedication to this wonderful state.

Nominate a special senior in your life to tell their story. They can be a relative, friend, neighbor or someone else you know. You can even nominate yourself. And the featured senior will receive a $50 gift card to use at an area mall, and a one year subscription to American Senior magazine! They’ll also be invited to a luncheon here at Townsquare Media, honoring all of the seniors we’re saluting.

Here are the seniors we've featured so far:
