Science Behind Why Women Are So Cold at the Office

Science offers a reason why women are always wearing sweaters at the office. The office AC was set with men in mind: skinny, lean men who don't much exist in America anymore.

Specifically, the air conditioning systems are geared with a 40 year old man who weighs 154 pounds in mind. Several factors come into play but the end result is that women tend to be colder in office environments and it costs companies both in energy and (most likely) productivity costs. Unfortunately, simply adjusting the thermostat won't necessarily fix everything, as this Gizmodo article explains.
