It's a wonderful time of year to get outside and see for yourself all that New Hampshire has to offer. Fall foliage season is right around the corner, so are non-stop views that will take your breath away.

The New Hampshire Division of Parks and Recreation website (NHStateParks), has everything you possibly need to find your next outdoor adventure.

There are so many hiking trails just waiting to be discovered by you, your friends and family. Not into hiking? That's totally fine, because some of these parks have beautiful, scenic auto roads for you to experience as well.

Here's a small sampling of what the Granite State has to offer:

Crawford Notch State Park -
Crawford Notch State Park has numerous hiking trails, waterfalls, fishing, wildlife viewing, and spectacular mountain views.

Milan Hill State Park -
Milan Hill State Park is located ten miles north of Berlin near popular areas for hiking, picnicking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and wildlife viewing. From this hilltop campground and the fire tower located there, you can get a complete view of the mountain ranges in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Canada.

Rollins State Park -
Rollins State Park, located in Warner, is situated on the south slope of Mt. Kearsarge. A 3-1/2 mile long scenic auto road rises from the park entrance through woodlands to the parking and picnic areas. The picnic area, located in a natural wooded glen beneath granite ledges, is historically referred to as the "Garden." It affords views that stretch from Mt. Monadnock to the hills of New Hampshire's coastal plain.

Weeks State Park -
Set at the very top of Mt. Prospect in Lancaster, the house and grounds provide a 360-degree panorama of mountain splendor, including the Presidential Range of the White Mountains, the Green Mountains of Vermont, the Kilkenny Range, the Percy Peaks, and the upper Connecticut River Valley. Visitors can climb the old stone fire tower for even better mountain views. The John Wingate Weeks House Museum is also open to the public and tours are offered during the operating season. *has a scenic auto road*

If the descriptions above don't make you want to get outside and breath in that fresh New Hampshire mountain air, nothing will!  Make sure you take a lot pictures and share them with us. We'd love to see our beautiful state from your viewpoint!
