Somersworth Woman Faces Drug Charge

(Somersworth, NH) - A Somersworth woman faces charges of trying to illegally obtain a prescription drug.

The NH State Police Narcotics and Investigations Drug Diversion Section received word that a fraudulent prescription for a controlled drug had been phoned in to the Rite-Aid Pharmacy in Somersworth.

Authorities confirmed that the prescription had not been phoned-in by a Durham Physician, and arrested 44 year-old Julie Kean when she arrived at the pharmacy to pick up the drug.

She is charged with attempting to obtain a controlled drug by fraud or deceit.
