Prisoners are making way more than license plates these days.

NH1 reports that a new store with a unique batch of items is set to open next month in Concord.

The store, which will be located on North Street, will sell items all made by current inmates incarcerated in New Hampshire.

Inmates will have the option to apply for positions with the store.  Prison officials say they can make anywhere from $2 to $4 per day.

They can also be fired.  Essentially the positions can serve as incentives for good behavior during the time they're serving.

I'd feel bad reading this if I were out of a job right now.  I mean....there are literally some folks in jail who are currently employed right now.

The store is set to open on May 23rd.
