The weather might be a little slow to find spring, but that doesn’t mean you have to wear the same old accessories.

During fall fashion week, designers revealed the hot spring and summer trends. Some are as outlandish as large, realistic fruit shapes and horned animal pendants; others are understated, layering several yellow gold pieces.

If you're ready to warm up your accessories, some comparable options of these designer trends can be found found here on the Seacoast, thanks to Jewelry Creations in downtown Dover. Kelly Glennon— and her husband, Doug, and 7-year-old son, JD — took over the reins there last year when its owners of more than 3 decades retired. Kelly and Doug travel to several jewelry shows each year to ensure they offer the freshest designs.

Here are some of their pieces that mirror high fashion designers' styling:

Rope Jewelry

Trend: Oscar de la Renta had bracelets and collars of twisted cord. Altuzarra had a variety of pendants dangling from rope necklaces, while Gabriela Hearst had a wrap-around rope earring, according to Glowsly's spring accessories trend report.

Mismatched Earrings

Trend: Think a thick, colorful statement piece in one ear and a large hoop in the other, as highlighted in Vogue.

Local buys: Jewelry Creations sells matching sets, of course, but has several statement pieces that are striking together or could be mixed and matched, including Onda Silver & Rose Gold Earrings and Copley Bezel Drop Earrings.

Anklets

Trend: Glowsly says the anklets of the 90s have been trendy for a few seasons now—and will remain so as warmer weather exposes more sandals, shorts, skirts and ... ankles.

Local buys: You can give yourself some versatility with bracelets, which are available in multiple lengths, including the Signature of Love Bracelet.

Gold Rush

Trend: Make yourself shine with multiple gold pieces layered across the same outfit.

Natural Pearls

Trend: As Vogue reported, "Pearly beads were spotted at Simone Rocha, Céline, Valentino and Alexander McQueen." Glowsly highlighted more intricate designs "all enwrapped in Victorian era romanticism mixed in with crystals, gemstones and other adornments."

If you've been to Jewelry Creations before, you know they also carry classic designs, engagement and wedding jewelry and fun, colorful pieces—all protected by a loyal and wiry Jack Russell mix named Miles (after late jazz musician Miles Davis). The Glennons continued the tradition of having a store dog after founders Linda and Joe Hagan retired in May, according to Fosters.com. Kelly also was named on Union Leader Top 40 Under 40 list.
