The state of New Hampshire is asking you to cut your shower time.

In an effort to conserve water, Governor Maggie Hassan, along with the NH Department of Environmental Services is asking Granite State residents to take shorter showers.

In a report by WMUR, state officials say showering for even just one minute less than you normally do can save hundreds of gallons of water.

Even though parts of New Hampshire saw heavy rain this past weekend, the water levels are still at historic lows.

No more 'lather, rinse, repeat!'
