(Rochester, NH) - Rochester Police have arrested a State Prison escapee after an early morning accident in the Lilac City.Police responded to an accident on Innovation Drive just before 2 this morning and found an empty vehicle off the road and into a ditch. The intoxicated driver was found in nearby woods, and after a brief struggle, was taken into custody. Police determined that 40 year old Jason William Chapman of Farmington, Massachusetts had been driving a car that was stolen in Concord Sunday after Chapman had escaped from a minimum security unit of the NH State Prison.

Chapman is facing multiple charges and faces arraignment in Rochester District Court.
