‘Steel Magnolias’ Trivia You May Not Know (Hint: #7 Will Make You Cry)

"Steel Magnolias" is a classic. Plain and simple. The "Today" show sat down with the writer as he talked about sister, who was the inspiration behind the movie and he gave some behind-the-scenes tidbits.

This movie is one of those magical moments on film for me. The 'stars' aligned when "Steel Magnolias" was made some 25 years ago. Playwright Robert Harling, wrote the story based on the life and death of his sister. Mr. Harling gave some trivia about the movie. Check out number 7.

I haven't seen many movies, but "Steel Magnolias" is in my Top 5 favorite films of all time. No matter how many times I watch this particular part of the movie, it brings me to tears then immediately to laughter. Olympia Dukakis and Sally Field rock this scene.
