Stoddard Firefighter Charged With Arson

(Stoddard, NH) - Residents of Stoddard have reacted with shock, dismay and disbelief after a town firefighter was arrested and charged with arson.

31 year old David Plante is accused of setting the brush fire that blackened a large area of town and kept firefighters busy for several days.

Plante will be arraigned this afternoon in Keene after being held over the weekend in the Cheshire County Jail.

He currently faces one count of arson, but authorities say they expect additional charges to be filed against Plante.
