Subaru is making an important announcement to certain owners to stop driving their cars immediately due to possible steering failure.

WCVB reports that the company says they plan to recall around 52,000 Legacy and Outback models from 2016 & 2017 model years.

Currently, there are around 22,000 of these vehicles on the road.  The remainder are still sitting on dealer lots.

Subaru says there are currently no reports of any crashes or injuries reported as of today.

The dealers will be contacting owners and sending technicians to the vehicle locations and making arrangements for loaner vehicles until the fixes are made.
