Since we've had such little rain lately, the dust and pollen is kicking up allover over New England. For those of you suffering through allergies I thought I'd look at what you might be able to do to feel better.

The pollen count for Portsmouth is projected to be medium to high over the next few days. We need some rain to clear the air but until then, allergy sufferers will just have to make the best of things.

There are things that the experts suggest, some of which are common sense items and others were surprising to learn about. If you dry clothes outside, Dr. Oz recommends moving them indoors so they don't get bathed in pollen.

According to Health, simply using saline spray or eating local honey can provide allergy relief. Spicy food and and neti pots are also suggested.

RD.com has some natural allergy remedies which include wearing sunglasses and a wide brimmed hat when you're outside or taking a fish oil pill daily to cut down on allergic reactions. The even suggest acupuncture and a change in diet.
