Portsmouth

Portsmouth is a city in New Hampshire with a population of over 21,000, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. It is located in Rockingham county and across the Piscataqua River from Kittery, Maine.

According to Britannica, it is New Hampshire's oldest settlement and the town was incorporated by Massachusetts in 165. It was named for Portsmouth, England.

Some of the attractions in Portsmouth include the USS Albacore Museum & Park, Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse and the New Hampshire Film Festival. It is also home to the University of New Hampshire and Merrimack College.
