The 140th Annual Deerfield Fair Is Up And Running

My parents weren't big on fairs when I was growing up, which looking back on now seems not very fair. (HA!)

But it's never too late to embrace your inner fair goer and that is exactly what I did yesterday when JC and I broadcasted from opening day at the Deerfield Fair.

Here we are a few hours before the doors opened, "the calm before the storm" if you will.

We were able to see baby pigs who were just born at 11:30 the night before. Freshies! JC kept making bacon jokes (which I felt like was in poor taste) but take a look at this adorable scene.

Then the most heavenly doughnuts to ever be made came into my life and I am not even exaggerating. These bad boys were UNBELIEVEABLE.

Ok now here are some things I wish I ate and didn't get a chance to:

My dreams are made of fried dough

Oh my heavens, eat your heart out Panera.

This deliciousness shouldn't even be legal. But boy am I glad it is!

All of these things belong in my belly.
