F-15 Pilot Killed
Officials now say the pilot of an F-15 jet that crashed earlier this week in remote Virginia mountains was killed, bringing a sad end to an exhaustive two-day search involving more than 100 local, state and federal officials as well as volunteers. Col. James Keefe announced the news Thursday at the Massachusetts Air National Guard in Westfield, Massachusetts, home of the 104th Fighter Wing, where the pilot and jet were based. The identity of the pilot has not been released.

High Court To Rule On Sentencing Young Killers
The New Hampshire Supreme Court is poised to decide whether four of the state's most notorious young killers should receive new sentencing hearings in light of a 2012 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that mandatory life sentences for juvenile killers are unconstitutional. The ruling, could mandate new sentencing hearings for Robert Tulloch, Robert Dingman and two other convicted killers who were under the age of 18 when they committed their crimes.

Vermont Man Charged In Tractor And Truck Thefts
A Vermont man is facing federal charges he possessed a number of tractors and trucks that were stolen over a 12-year period from Vermont, New York, Massachusetts and Maine. The U.S. Attorney's office says 49-year-old James Moorcroft of Brookfield pleaded not guilty on Wednesday. Prosecutors say Moorcroft orchestrated the theft of six trucks and two farm tractors that he brought to the Brookfield farm where he lives and then used them after removing the vehicle identification numbers.

Denny's is opening its first Manhattan location today.  The diner is offering an upscale 'Grand Slam' for the occasion. The Daily News reports for $300 you can get a Grand Slam with a bottle of Dom Pergnon champagne!
