The New Gold Top on the State House Costs WHAT!?

It's pretty and all, but really?

If you've been by the State Capitol in Concord, you've noticed that the dome is surrounded by scaffolding.

This year, the state house is getting a new gold leaf around it's cupola at a staggering $2.8 million!!!

Almost $3 Million bucks all for a gold dome.

Here's my question: why don't we as residents and tax payers of the state get to decide if this is obscenely absurd?  Because I think it is.

Furthermore, what about all of the other things that this money can go to?

-We have an incredibly dangerous heroin problem in our state

-Our schools rank 15th in the nation according to a 2015 survey (They were 4th in the nation in 2011.)

These are just a few things we could be spending this cash on.
