Yesterday we learned that Robert Kraft asked Roger Goodell for those draft picks back. Great, it doesn't mean a thing.

Look, the ship on getting the draft picks sailed long ago. Given that the league didn't take into account the ideal gas law, said the team wasn't at fault, exonerated Coach Belichick and continues to pursue efforts to suspend Tom Brady, I don't think they're interested in things like fairness.

The league isn't concerned about transparency either. They have thus far refused to speak specifically about the results of the testing the PSI's of footballs during the season, which most likely contains data that would prove this whole mess to be a sham. You're asking these idiots to reduce your punishments?

The Patriots aren't the first team to be screwed over by Goodell by disproportionate or wholly unfair punishments (Hello New Orleans!) but the other owners sort of figure the odds are in their favor. 31 teams, maybe one or two get hosed every year or two-- some, like Denver, openly break the rules with nary a whisper. Those owners aren't going rush to your side, Robert.

Is it fair? No, but the league doesn't care and there isn't a thing you can do about it.
