Social media can be toxic and negative for a lot of reasons. However, I love that people use it to capture important milestones in their families lives. Like first day of school photos!

First day of school photos have been around for a long time. The one above is circa 1993 on my first day of kindergarten. Notice my shoes matched my skirt which matched my scrunchie. Man, I had it GOING ON in those days :)

With Instagram and Facebook, people document their kid's first day of school in such clever ways with signs and witty captions, it's awesome!
