Time to Start Training Your Belly for Qualifying Round of Lobster Roll Eating Contest

If you like lobster rolls, you best start training your belly now for the upcoming qualifying round for the annual Lobster Roll eating contest.

One of the best parts of the annual Hampton Beach Seafood Festival is watching contestants punish their stomachs by seeing how many lobster rolls they can eat in ten minutes. Last year, James Burges was able to pack away 12 lobster rolls to take home the first place prize.

Who will it be this year? Seacoast Online reports the date for the qualifying round of the Lobster Roll Eating Contest will be August 17th at McGuirk's on Hampton Beach. The top 11 eaters will move on to the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival Lobster Roll Eating Contest in September.
