The Patriots are missing the post season for the first time in 12 years and there is no denying that Tom Brady's absence has a lot to do with it. TB12 reportedly decided to part ways with the Pats because Belichick wasn't giving him the tools he needed to succeed. (aka other good players on the team)

When the news came out that Tom was moving to the Buccs, I was pretty disappointed. I thought, "why wouldn't he want to finish his career as a Patriot on the team where he made history?"  But now I totally get it. Tom is a phenomenal athlete but football is a team sport. He can't singlehandedly bring a team to the Superbowl. Tom wanted to finish his career on a high note and that's exactly what he is doing on Tampa Bay. (though to be fair, the end of his career is nowhere in sight)

Interviewers have been trying to get some kind of reaction out of Brady. They ask how he feels about the Patriots' sad performance this season. He easily could say "Hey Bill! I have three words for you: NEENER NEENER NEENER!" But his name is Tom Brady, not Tom PETTY. (get it? lol I crack myself up) and in typical Tom fashion, he takes the high road.

According to Boston.com, Brady responded with "As far as the Patriots, they have their own thing going.....Obviously I have a lot of friends there, a lot of great relationships, but they’ve been focused on what they need to do and I’ve been trying to focus on what my job is.”

Does Tom Brady have what it takes to bring the Buccs to sweet victory?I have no idea! Do I look like a sports analyst to you? But I do know that they stand a chance which is more than our dear New England Patriots can say. Womp womp.
