Tom Brady is 37 and undeniably no longer in his prime. Sure, the offensive line is brutal, play calling is suspect and the receivers aren't inspiring a great deal of confidence. All this is true-- but what is also true is that Tom Brady in 2014 is not a great quarterback.

He remains, however, a very good quarterback and we will see this soon enough. Maybe the end is near but it isn't here. The more troubling aspect is that Pats as a whole don't appear to be anywhere near an elite team. The offense is a mess and the revamped defense has been a huge disappointment (hey, special teams look good!). Are they even a playoff team? Most likely, but that is more a testament to the terrible division they have the luxury of playing in. Seriously, if you're even remotely concerned about TB12, check out the other quarterbacks in the division because it isn't pretty.

They always seem to right the ship, though. The last time the Pats were 2-2? That was in 2012 when they finished 12-4 and two quarters short of another Super Bowl appearance. They have had 13 straight winning seasons and have had just one losing record in the past 19 years. Let that sink in for a moment. So while there is no rational reason to feel confident in the Pats based on how they've played this season (and the schedule ahead), Tom and Bill have a track record that tells me things will be okay.
