While every 16 year old skater kid downtown is still trying to land a single kickflip, Tony Hawk just landed a 900 at 48 years old.

What's a 900? Two and half rotations followed by a clean landing, the trick that transformed Hawk from a skateboarding legend into a household name when he was the first to land one in competition at the 1999 X-Games. Per wikipedia, only 13 skaters have completed the trick in competition since.

I never thought I would be doing this at my age when I was young. I'm still going. I'll keep on going until the wheels fall off." -- Tony Hawk

Seventeen years to the day of that feat, he was determined to land the trick again. In a video the skateboarding legend uploaded on Monday June 27th, we witness what he says is his last 900. Here's to hoping he changes his mind and gives it another go in two years to celebrate his 50th.
