Truck Destroyed, Driver Uninjured in Maine Turnpike Crash
(Sidney, Maine) - A Maine truck driver escaped injury Wednesday morning when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel.
32 year old John Rancourt of Jay was northbound on I-95 around 6 am when his tractor-trailer went off the road and slammed into a rock ledge, spilling the load of 90-thousand pounds of lumber.
The truck and trailer were destroyed in the crash, but Rancourt was not injured.
