(Dover, NH) - Ever since I was a kid, I have been eating sandwiches made with four simple ingredients.

My grandmother used to make these for me and my brothers and sister, and as I got older, I made them for my kids.  It is still my go-to sandwich.

Two pieces of bread, slices of cucumber and american cheese with mustard and mayo, and a little salt & pepper.  It's quick and easy and a cool meal on a hot summer day.

I have tried a few variations, like using the fresh wrap from Tendercrop Farm instead of bread, and even tried adding a little curry. They were good, but in my mind, my grandmothers "original recipe" is still the best.
