Tupelo Music Hall is Moving!

The venue is moving to Derry after calling Londonderry home for 12 years

It was a unanimous decision by the Derry planning board.

NewHampshire.com is reporting that Tupelo Music Hall will be moving to 10 A Street in Derry.  The location is a former health club.

This will nearly double the capacity bump from 240 to 475 available seats.

The website reports that owner of the venue, Scott Hayward,  was on hand for the decision. In response Hayward said......

I really think the project could turn Derry into a place where people go for entertainment.......with us and the Stockbridge Theatre and the Opera House, Derry really becomes a place you go for entertainment and community events.

The moving project is a $2.6 Million undertaking.   Hayward says he's aiming to open the venue for New Years Eve.  He also stated that the current location in Londonderry will remain open until the new venue opens.
